Default Black Chroming

So I just ordered Black Chrome lugs for my new tires and now I'm thinking about getting my center caps, emblems, and window trim done to match.

What I'm looking for is feedback on places that have done Black Chrome for anyone. Recomend a place and please post pics of anything you had done.

I did the same you want to do, I took my car to a guy here locally and he covered the window trim with black matte vinyl in about an hour for really cheap and it looks great! I also had my lugs and center caps powder coated along with my wheels.

I am a DIY guy, but I also want black chrome, not just the really dark grey or powdercoated color.

2.5tsoarer has pre-cut vinyl trim to cover your chrome trim. Here is how it looks on my SC.

Send him a PM and I'm sure he can give you more info on it if your interested.

Haha....I'm glad you approve Like I said I don't really have a link for them but just send a pm to 2.5tsoarer and he will give you more info on it. He is the one that did it for me and he is the one who gets the vinyl pre-cut.

Will do, thanks. I prefer matte black over black chrome, matte black reminds me of BMW's Shadowline trim on their sport-package equipped vehicles.

I think if you did black chrome it would stick out too much but if that is the look you are going for then go for it. I'm curious to see how it would look on an SC.

The matte black matches the factory black on the car so it seems like the windows are one piece.....which IMO flows with the car's lines the best.

Either way at the end of the day if you want it on your car I always say go for it. The black chrome would be unique and a first here on CL so why not stand out from all the rest???

I think with the 20-25% tint I'm going with, black chrome wouldn't stand out too much.
