Rear brake noise help
I have a 94 sc400 and i just replaced the rear brake pads and machined the rear rotors, but ever since changed the brakes they make a noise when im coming to a stop. I had to turn the rotors a few times before i could get them to cut evenly. But i have a feeling the rotors are too thin and need to be replaced. would that cause a noise, not a screeching or squealing noise though? also when i step on the brake the car wants to pull to one side
can you be more specific on the noise.
maybe you can make a video. have you drive the car and someone film while youre coming to stop.
did you use any type of "brake quite" stuff when reinstalling the pads.
did you lube the pad sliders?
did you reuse the pad shim?
sometimes when your pad shims are pad it can make noise. toyota also makes this stuff you put between the pads, shims, and caliper piston. it makes the pad "stick" to the piston so it doesnt drag when brakes are released and helps with the noise as well.
