Wheelskins driving me crazy!!
Okay guys, so I just picked up a SC400 and it needs some interior TLC. The steering wheel looks like it was used by a person with sandpaper hands and I thought that a wheelskin might be a good thing to use to cover that up.
The exterior of my car is Black Onyx, and the inside I believe is Tan/Oak. I am just debating now what color wheelskin to use and currently based on previous searches I am thinking about going either Tan or Brown.
Anyone on here have a brown wheelskin to show me the color? As tan just looks a little off.

just get another wheel, the aftermarket covers are cheezy and feel/look like crap plus they make the steering wheel too big, ive had one and hated it (and it was the expensive kind that was done professionally)
check my sig for other posts you will see the oak wheelskins that I used. The oak really does match nicely with the darker portion of the upper dash and e-brake boot...

And, I would love to get a new steering wheel but that really isn't in my budget right now, that would run approximately $500 which would be much better put towards maintainance and maybe a roadtrip!
I have a black/brown wheelskin on mine and it looks great, its not too thick, and it doesnt look cheesy. If you do a blind stitch like the oem steering wheel, it almost looks like it supposed to be there, though i do intend on putting a proper 3spoke on the car. Its a temp solution for now.

Is the burgandy and oak

Tan Top and Bottom and then Sand on the sides

(That is what the sand cover looks like)

Another Oak
So I can conclude no Sand or Burgandy, but how about Oak, Tan and Brown
I just wish I could see a picture of the brown cover

I have never been one for the feel of a stock steering wheel. Aftermarket is better to drive with, more comfortable, and can result in better driving position (depending on if the wheel is dished or not). Problem(s) solved.
I personally dont like the idea of airbags. In certain vehicles sure. But mine, if I crash, an airbag wont do much good. It'll pop out too far forewards and with my luck, the only part of me moving forewards would be my head, and the airbag would snap my neck like a toothpick.
And yes. The 15 year rule is alright. Its fed me a few cars already hah. Too bad proper insurance is extremely difficult to come by.

There are plenty of clean used stock wheels available, i got one from a popular auction site for $150 that was in MINT cond. also try aliga he should have a clean stock wheel somewhere......
I think all of the above wheels with covers look like CRAP, might as well go to walmart and get a universal cover, at least its easy to take off.....
