that oil filter sandwich plate has a thermostat built into it. you can run a cooler as well. this allows you to warm up the oil faster. when it reaches 80*C it opens up and circulates through the cooler as well.

its made by MOCAL. they sell for about 60 bucks on average.

 

Firm MOCAL makes sandwich plate has a thermostat at +80 º C, but there is no slot for the installation of the sensor tempratury oil. I have done in the sandwich plate MOCAL slot for installing the sensor tempratury oil.

 

Vadim, you're going to realize that for most JDM based vehicles, chip tuning is something that was left far behind in the 90's. Although still prevalent with German tuning depending on application, ECU based tuning has changed quite a bit. I doubt you'll find any actual solid/quality solder based chips for an SC300.


The SC300 has a plethora of mods available depending on your power goal. The majority of the guys on this forum have stuck to bolt ons, piggy-back fuel controllers and ECU's or going big with stand alone units for the FI guys. The extent of your gains is only truly limited to your budget.

Personally, I probably try to figure out what direction I want to take my SC in. Do you want big power (ie, NA-T, 1JZ/2JZGTE swap, etc etc) or a moderate boost. Bolt-ons such as Intake, Header and exhaust can definitely help you out. In that case, SEARCH is your best friend on this forum as this is a topic that's been covered time and time again.
