I bought a 95 Sc400 from my father this past winter to drive this summer until my 66 convertible is done. But some how some time over the winter i lost the Damn KEY!!! i now have no keys at all for the car WHAT CAN I DO?
Call a locksmith to open your car the keys are probably inside and if you dont find the keys i think u need to call the dealer so they can make you a key.
No no i have the doors open and everything its no in the car. i have spent honestly HOURS looking all over my house, tool box, truck, i have torn everything out of the car can have had NO LUCK.... does the keys have a chip in them?

Most mobile locksmiths can make a key. They can program the chip in the key as well.
Definitely a cheaper alternative to the dealership.
They can't program a new key without an original master key. The programming sequence requires a master key to open or activate programming mode. Now that your key is gone you'll have to go to the Lexus dealer to get the computer reprogrammed which cost over a grand. I think it was Aliga that had a cheaper alternative than going to the dealership, but it was still at least $500. I really hope you find that key and get a duplicate made right away.
*edit* This is the case for my 98+ keys. I have no clue if it works the same way for older models.
1. he has a 95 so no chip, no reprogramming, or any of that non sense. that is only true for 97+ cars
2. remove your driver/passenger door handle and take out the key cylinder. have a locksmith make a key using that
3. or go to the dealer, give them your vehicle VIN, as well as proof of ownership, and they will make you one.
its really not that big of a deal. once you have the first key made the other copies are cake. my local locksmith makes me lexus, non chip, key for 10 bucks each including the cost of a black.

Dude i am praying this works, i called lexus last week but got a kid at the parts dept. and i think he had no idea what he was doing because i was quoted... lets say more than i paid for the car to replace it
Well if you don't mind unlocking your car by turn key each time then it's much cheaper to get the master non-electronic key. If you want the master key with the wireless button it does become much more.
i dont know about where you live but my local lock smith is the ****. he made a top of key for all a lot of people i know. he made lexus keys for me and my buddies ls400.
ill give him a call and see what he says.
who uses the lexus keyless anyways. those remove are terrible and work from about 30 feet. i suggest getting a regular key made, for cheap, and then investing into a nice security/remote start system.
benefits of aftermarket keyless/security/remote start:
1. it will actually work
2. much longer range
3. 2-way feature
4. trunk pop
5. add-on window roll-down/up feature
6.

take your passenger door panel off
take out the passenger door cylinder
write down the 5-6 digit code on the cylinder
go to lexus with this code, they will order a key for you
should cost no more than 75 bucks

I know that my Ex's 2001 Neon had a code. Mobile locksmith came to the site where the car was parked (lost the key at a water park) and cut/programmed the key right there. Honestly, I found it quite odd that a car with manually cranking windows had such a complex key, and my '95 Lexus didn't.
Oh well. BTW, it cost $135 for 2 new keys to be made with my AAA discount.
