The 1jz-gte swap is much more practical and cheaper if your trying to achieve mid to high 400s.
Now that's what I'm talking about! Very useful info!

Or just swap a 1jz into either the S13 and S14 and be faster than a swapped sc3/sc4 hahaha.

I considered that for a hot minute, but this Lexus bug has bitten me something bad! Plus, I'm not a fan of cross-brand swaps.

But, I was wondering.... about how much does a 1jz weigh? I've googled it and haven't found a straight answer yet. But I've heard rumors that they're about 50 lbs lighter than the 2jz-gte and sit about an inch lower. Now thats hot.

1jz full engine with accessories, all fluids is about 700lbs, roughly same weight as 2jz. 1uz w/ accessories and wet is about 485lbs.

You'll definitely feel A LOT more comfortable in the SC than the S13/14. It's like a 1' or 2' longer than a s14 and about 0.5' wider each side. Here my cardomain page to show you I have credit when talking about 240s. www.cardomain.com/id/liger22 . If you get the Lex then you wont live in fear of someone robbing it anywhere.

Stock block 1JZ made 500 - 900 rwhp! If it was done and done easily, a lot of people would have done it already. And I don't think cost is what stops many people at the 350 rwhp mark. For that kind of power, people are willing to shed a few more Gs on injectors, a turbo kit, and an ECU. However, I've only seen the 2JZGTE crowd done that. Well, if you think you could make that much on the 1JZGTE, then please go and do it and brighten up our days

A lot of people go to the 400-500hp range on a 1jz or 2jz. The problem is once you go past that. IDK where that one guy got stock block at 900hp, but once you get up to 450-500 rwhp+ the engine becomes tooo unreliable without better internals. Thats why you dont see a lot of 1jzs past that range. Because if your going to spend the money on upgrading the internals, then your going to start of with the better 2jz to begin with. With that being said 450hp on a 1jz is completely achievable.

Welcome to the FI V8 world! You're not gonna regret it. Even at 6 psi, the tires will try to grip the tires (traction loss) right after launching.

Not to say I am hot shiat or anything ,but I have a 1uz manual swap in my mk3 supra. Man the fun doesn't stop. The sound of the exhaust is even better. I have many kinds of people mess with me on the road and then they get there asses handed to them. I have the pics of the SC400 manual swap done this past weekend on REDPHOENIXes SC400. The interior isn't done yet so i won't post till its done. Then you can have you manual swap pictures party.lol

QFT, I have a vert and it's so sad how easy it is to break into s-chassis.

Also not to mention that s-chassis don't look as exotic as an SC does when done up nicely.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if exotic would be the word I'd use to describe SC or 240. I'd just say the SC achieves the VIP look much easier.

But guys, as I learn more about about the platform, I want one more and more. Case in point: I just found out about the BFI.Now that's cool. I'm practically salivating for a '97+ sc400 w/bolt-ons and upgraded footwork.

I only want mild power adders since my s13 will be for my wilder ambitions. Can anybody tell me if there are any other simple 1uz mods besides the BFI, headers and exhaust, like a easy cam swap maybe? What are the preferable/popular header & exhaust setups? And what kind of hp/tq increases should one expect realistically?
