Ive never used an OBX header for the GE. I have the MVP motorsports header though. It definitely performs and makes the exhaust a lot more louder since it doesnt have a huge at attached to it. With this header I ran a low 14 sec pass at Sacramento Raceway. Go MVP!
If you aren't into custom modifying, just watch out.
I had an OBX header on my Supra. I modified it heavily to be correct for the car. Once I was done though, it came out to be a nice piece.
For this car though, I'm not sure how much it will do for you other then removing the cat and saving a few pounds. That is my goal, I just want to delete the primary cat. My supra only had the main cat, not a pre-cat, and I want my SC300 to be the same way.
If I can find a deal, I'll be trying one out. Until then, I'm not willing to spend $350 on it. Instead, I picked up an IS300 header for $100 used, and will be adapting that.
i have them on right now and i think it definitely helped my bottom end but im gettin a little whistle when i gun it, maybe just because of the more air flow? cause i didnt see any leaks
The general rule of thumb throughout the years in the industry basically is avoid the brand. Be it for Import/Domestic makes. I hope we've helped steer you in the right direction.
i had it on my SC300 for about 2 years, no problems. took the same one out and now i have it on my cressida...still no problems. i suggest upgrading your intake and the rest of the exhaust for optimum gain.

just put the OBX headers and downpipe in only because a brick put a nice sized hole in my old exhaust line... but I get that whistle too... i wonder if its a leak... I also noticed the flex pipe sits pretty low... a lot lower in stock.. i guess its just a matter of time before a dip or road debris destroys it.. worries me a little.. but paired with my hks exhaust it does sound pretty nice..,
