Clock and radio Staying on

I recently upgraded my alternator power wire and grounds.

But today I went to work and there were no problems.

I go to leave, start the car, and go home, did some things and came out to notice that my clock and air bag light were on.

BUT THE KEYS WERE OUT OF THE IGNITION!

Then after undoing the battery and letting it sit, the airbag light went away, BUT the clock was still on.

But this time, now the radio AND clock stay on.

All of this is with the car off and keys out.

Right now I have the battery unhooked so I don't lose a charge.

My friend thinks its the ignition switch.

Any way to fix this?

Is this going to cost me?

Sounds like a few contacts in the switch are grabbing and not letting go.

When I had that problem, in the trunk where the cd changer use to be, the harness would get wet and cause this problem. I tucked it away and haven't had no more clock and radio staying on. Sometimes the alarm would go off for no reason!

EPIC FAIL FOR ME.

Dude, you know what it was?

Friggen remote wire on my amp somehow frayed loose and was contacting other wires in the area.

Problem solved.

I feel like even MOAR of an idiot.

I have a very low patience level, so sometimes when this stuff happens, I flip out and swear I am never touching a car ever again.

Great thing about the SC is that I have never had a problem with it except for things I have caused. Case in point: Today!

Or when I got the bright idea while at my friend's shop throwing back some brewskis to pressure was my engine bay. )No I was not driving FYI.

Had to take the plugs out and clean stuff..

Only mechanical flaw on this car is the vac issue and my AC

Other than that it runs like a dream and I couldn't be happier.

So you just IMITATED a few contacts of the ignition holding. Nice fake problem FTW.
