Default loose 100 lbs. on your SC

Im shooting for 100lbs lose, while keeping the stock seats, wheels and using a smaller aluminum spare. Has anyone taken the rear bottom half of the back seats out and weighted it recently? It seems tough to get out. I want to keep the top half for the looks.

Im pretty sure the bottom half of the back seats just snaps up. If not its like 2 screws. Its not very heavy, only like 10lbs. The stock spare is like 45lbs. It doesn't look very good with just the top half imo.

Yeah, Ive got a alum. spare instead of the stock stealy. If the back bottom weighed 15-20 Id prob. pull it, no ones riding back there anyway.

You could take out all the carpet and remove the sound deadening. Its like 20lbs. I heard its a pain in the *** though.

No sound deadning in a Lex = eh..

here is my list of things i can think of:

If ur gonna do back seats just do top + bottom. That should be 15-20lbs.

You could cut out ur spare tire well, bolt down a aluminum plate, and just keep your tire in the trunk. I havent done this yet but im guessing at least 10lbs.

There is a metal plate behind the glove box that really serves no purpose- 5lbs

Stock seats are very heavy but you wanna keep those. Stock hood is heavy, cf is around 500 i think, or you could hack at ur stock one and use hood pins.

If ur ballzy you could take out ur crash bar(s).

All of the trim in the trunk is like 15-20lbs all together.

The plate behind the back seats that covers the gas tank is like 5lbs

Thats all I can think of for now

Usually when a guy gets new rims he goes wider, which means wider tires. I think Ill stay stock wheels and soon as I get new ones Ill be watching the weight of the tires.

I have an internal mount hidden antenna and it is lighter. My Nakimichi does have a big fact. sub and amp. but as long as it works Ill keep it. The C.D. changer is a great weight loss for me.

Just take out the engine. That should drop you a solid 1,000 pounds or so.

alter your perception of "stock" seats and use "stock" cloth supra seats, or leather w/o power electronics.
