Default Holy cow*rant*

So, I lowered my SC with Espelirs.

I have a 245/45/17 tire.

They rub in the back.

Now, the rear is on spacers, so that's obviously a primary cause.

But it looks so much nicer!

It appears now that I will have to shave down the plastic fender liner's edge to get a little more clearance.

Grrr

I would have never thought this mild of a wheel set-up could rub.

I'm not sure of the offsets. They're actually 04 Mustang Bullitt rims.

Thanks MacGuyver!

haha

Razor blade?

Oh and I guess to those who have done it, have you been able to keep the plastic liner, or just scrap it?

Hair dryer - warm the paint to keep it from cracking.

Baseball bat - obviously roll the edges of the fenders

razor blade - trim the plastic you are rubbing after you've rolled the fenders and they are sticking away from the rubbing plastic. (It ain't gonna jump out with the fender, sorry)

Werd.

The liner won't Rick Roll with the metal fender edge.

Why? Because plastic liners never give you up, or let you down...lol

I'll be doing this within the next week.

Fortunately, I have junk tires on my 17's, and haven't ordered my Ventus' yet.

The front's are flush and clear just fine because they don't need a spacer.

The rear's look absolutely stellar right now.

I'll post some pics tomorrow if I can find my friggen miniSD adapter from my phone.

Mustang wheels are pretty good offsets to begin with plus a spacer im sure it looks great but you would have to roll them for sure if you are lowered on espelirs.

When you see that tornado, punch it in the face because I want pictures.

I removed the lil black plastic liner from the fenders. Just used a fender roller to get it nice and flat... could prolly use a lil body work to touch it up since it was first attempt, but it works well enough.

No joke man!

It owes me about $80,000 for rebuilding part of my house.

I actually decided that if I shave the inside edge section of the fenders where the tire rubs, I'll cut off part of the plastic as well.

Regardless, The metal will be sanded down and coated with bed liner, and the plastic back over it.

Problem solved.

Here's a pic of it lowered.

Not bad. These rims will go eventually.

I'm planning on TSW Snettertons some day.
