I've been ask how I did this quite a bit so I decided to do somewhat of a how too.
This was done years ago so I don't have pictures during the process but hope this helps.

Tools Used:
Dremel
Angle Grider
Wire Cutter
Drill and Taps

Parts Used:
Shifter $10 on auction site
5 Spd shifter bezel and boot from Luxurymods

I don't have the info on how to remove everything but there is no doubt it is on this site somewhere.

Once the bezel and shifter is removed, you most remove the OD wires and mount a shift somewhere else.
Then grid the area shown to reduce the diameter of the shaft in order to fit the new shifter.

Once the shifter has been test fitted, you will have to discard the plastic that sat under the bezel to allow the 5spd SC shifter bezel/Boot to sit correctly.

drill the 2 holes on the new shifter to allow use of the OEM set screw holes

Here is a picture of the shifter before installing.

I did have to drop in a Nut as a gap filler inside the shifter in order for the push-down to work.

I purchased the shifter on an auction site, but will not provide that info due to Forum rules.

does yours have a button, or do you just push the whole shifter in place of the button?
