brake light problem

brake light problem
for some reason.. everytime i step on my brakes my parking lights turn on including the dash and shifter lights. Also, my third brake light stays on when the headlights are on. It looks like im braking the whole time while driving at night. Has anybody had this problem? What would be the problem and what should i check for? thanks
