Default Ichiba spacer problem....

Hello guys.... so i just bought 10mm spacer kit with longer studs.
Took out the original studs, tried to install the new ones, but they do not go in.
Seems like the stud diameter where the grooves are supposed to be seated in is too big. I double checked with Ichiba and they said the item number matches.
Has anyone had a problem with pressing them in?
i tried tightening until it stopped and i have never tighten any lugnut as hard as i had to this one, as soon as i loosen it up, the stud just comes right off. any ideas???

I've installed longer studs in different cars before and this never happened. First time Ichiba user here....

they're supposed to be pressed in tight. There are a few ways to get them in. Do a search in the suspension threads. Hope this helps.

I've never installed spacers before, so I have little knowledge about the complexity of the whole process, but I'm wondering.....would it be easier to do this during the daytime?

I've heard you just tighten the lugnut down with some washers between the hub and the nut until they are pressed in...

yeah, that's exactly what i did today. I've done it before but ichiba is telling me that they are correct, but im really thinking that whoever gave me the package gave me the wrong studs...... they are telling me im not installing it right, but i never had a problem with this with my h&r's from before... =(

i had this problem with "ichibas" before. i hate to say this but most likely they are fake. i've swapped studs a lot of times on different cars. the only time i had a problem was when i ordered "ichiba" studs from this guy on ebay. they would go in no matter what. finally me and my friend decided to sand down the inside of my hub a little bit to make them go in. went drifting a few days after i installed it. as soon as i got home i notice i only had 4 lug nuts out of 5 on my front left wheel. then i realized the stud snapped off. figured it was just coincidence. drove it a few more days while waiting for the replacement. didnt do any hard driving whatsoever. another stud breaks off. unless you got them direct from ichiba i'd be worried. btw i've never had a problem with ichiba studs that i know came direct from ichiba. its the other places that claimed it was ichiba that gave me a problem.

that's weird because i bought it from an ichiba retailer. Im thinking i just got a bad set. Just as you described, they would not go in...! btw, you typed "They would go in no matter what" lol

I had a problem with ichibas... I bought 2 sets of spacers, opened one set to try and fit them at the front of my supra tt 17 in wheels and they do not work at all. the spacers are 15mm and the dudes wont even let me return them even though i never used them.... only tried one spacer.

This happened to me kinda. It's a very tight fit. I think I messed up a few studs trying too hard. If I were to do it again, I'd spray PB Blaster all over the hub. There's a lot of rust buildup that makes the hole even smaller. Let it sit and try it again. If it's not enough, more PB blaster.
