Depends on how close you were applying the paint that its dripping. You need to be like 6 inches or so away and do some quick strokes with the spray back and forth. 2 coats should be good enough after primer. If your getting drips you can always sand it off and redue it again.

Thanks for the response. Either in between the time that i didnt look at it, the drippings dropped onto the carboard that i was working on, or it absorbed itself..

i put on the black, waiting for it to dry. its somewhat cold, so its taking a while to dry :/

No problem...remember to take your time with this if you want it to come out right. There is no rush for quality work.

Will do.

The 3M tape- how do i put this on the badges? Line it up , stick it on the badge and use a razor to cut the excess tape??

also, my brother was telling me once i paint these and it rains, the paint will just come off and told me to get some clear coat?
true? or will the paint stay?

edit: i just looked at them... still wet and has tons of mini bubbles everywhere. ugly, but i tried so.. its MY bubbly badges

Clearcoat is a good idea on high-wear areas (the front of the vehicle). You are correct for the process of 3M tape usage.

I stuck on my emblems without 3M tape since I forgot to buy a roll and all the stores were closed (nighttime). I never got around to buying that roll of tape, but the emblems stick and stay just fine.

Do the Lexus on the driver side and the SC300 in the center have any indentions in the body once they are removed. I was going to leave the Circle L emblem and just remove the other two as long as there is no sign on the body after the emblems are removed.

The Lexus on the driverside has holes behind it but the SC 300 badges do not have holes behind them.

That might be the case for 92 to 96. I forgot to mention that.

Correct. The 'SCX00' emblem is mounted on the rear bumper with guide pins, and the 97+ 'SCX00' emblem is mounted on the right corner of the trunk.
