soarers, some of them, do come with four wheel steering...but Lexus cars were never fitted with any despite being the more 'elite' brand...we never got a turbo'ed engine or rear windshield wiper either
Not too bitter over the rear wiper, but the turbo engine would have been a major plus.

Only UZZ32 Soarers had 4 wheel steer. Its similar to HICAS and what Honda Preludes have in Australia. Good for the hills but not good when you want to drift or loose the back end. Also fair few UZZ32's for sale in Australia currently going for pretty damn cheap considering less than 600 were made.
Also funny that TRD Power posted that clip, thats actually my firend ad we made Italian Spiderman and im in a few of the episodes :-)

I wonder what the cost would be to order the components needed for an active susp/ 4ws upgrade from Toyota/a dealership in Japan. Shipping and installation would probably be pricey, but it would be something nice and unique.
hicas from nissan was a bad system that was hydraulic. it used a different power steering pump with two rotors, another rack in the rear, and a ton of lines running the length of the car.
honda prelude was a mechanical system in the early models. not sure of the later ones.
trust me you do not want to do a 4 wheel steer on any car. its gives a car a very artificial and quite frankly a crappy feel. its a waste of time to do it and definitely a waste of money and actually works counter productively for a performance car.

Yeah i like predictability, like an LSD i know when it steps out what it will do. With 4 wheel steer if the rear starts coming out and you counter steer its very difficult to catch unless you have the presence of mind to brake rather than steer out of it. Only good thing about 4 wheel steer is the reduced turning circle.
