Default Got a few qustions.

I posted this in the lighting section yesterday, but apparently no one goes there, so I am not getting any replays. Mods please dont move or I'll never get an answer.

I have a 92 sc300. I wanna get led bulbs for the lic plate. The new lexus use blue lights, correct? Do i need white or blue led bulbs? Or what size do i need like it know its 168 but do i need a 1 led bulb or can i go with a 5 led bulb, like what size bulb is best?

Also my fog lights are white. Where can i find 3000k NOT HID 1157 bulbs?

Lastly I am going to get 4300k hids. My headlights have 2 small light bulbs. One is burned out and i need to replace it. What size is this bulb and where can i find a white one?

The type of bulb that people normally use would be a 168 bulb. I dont think the newer model lexus would be using blue bulbs otherwise they would be in for a good number of fix it tickets. The color they use is white. As far as the number of LEDs you can choose as much as you want. For me, just one will do the job. LED would be the bulb of choice since it uses less power and has a longer lifespan.

For your fogs, I think the bulb is an 1156. I used to have yellow 1156 bulbs that resemble the look of an HID 3000k bulb. I got mine at a japanese automotive accessories store in San Francisco. If you are in that area just go to AutoFreaks in Japan Town.

For your headlights, the small bulbs you speak of are 197 wedge bulbs. It is very common to see them burnt. You can also find this bulb just about anywhere. But if you want a different color you can look online or try that same store I recommended earlier. I hope I was able to help you out. Good luck!

Thanks, I went to autobacs on beach blvd. They are such a rip-off, it cost me about 12 bucks for 2 1156 yellow bulbs. And they were charging 14 bucks for two led 168 bulbs. No way am i buying that. Looks like i gotta find the bulbs online.

What leds did u use for the headlight(parking lights on other cars). A single led bulb?

Also for the lic plate lights, did you use a single led bulb or a multi led bulb?
