Default Should I buy?? Hmmm i think i will....I think i did!

I found an originally owned 1997 Sc300. It is black on black but still auto. Has all original records and even the original window sticker. The car has 150k on the clock. Car is in mint shape with out a scratch on it. The owner even had Lexus replace his front bumper due to a rock chip. He is asking 5,000

Well here she is......

Depends? Why are you buying a sc? If you want a stick shift then you know you'll need to swap. Plus we all know the sc300 isnt as powerful as the 400. So if you plan on not modding then you would be better off getting a 400.

Personally i waited and found a 5 spd but then again i couldn't get that nice black interior.

Thanks for your imput. i have a black on black 1995 sc right now but it is not in as good shape as this one. This one is mint all they way. The owner is an older guy and took very good care of this car inside and out.

What kind of build is it? If its gonna be turbo'd or a swap or something along those lines, I would get a 95 or below. OBDI is so much easier to work with.
Along those lines, 95 is the best year btw. Fog lights, cool tails, keyless entry beeps, pass. seat has lumbar support, OBDI. Best year by far.

Yea that is what everyone is telling me. I was going to swap the motor over to a 2jzgte. I was also going to swap over tail lights. I like my 95 tail lights alot better the the 1997.

I say just do it to your 95 then. Swapping a manual isnt that hard either.

If you already have a 95 just put all your 5k in to it and you'll have a tight coupe

That is what i wanted to do. I had a car loan on the 1995 but i was over my head for the amount of miles on it. If i had 5K i would have done that no Q's asked.
