Default Sc400

Can anyone tell me how the tail lights work on a 92 SC400? There are two brake light bulbs, left and right.. when I apply the brakes just the outter bulbs come on and the inner bulbs go off..? Is this the way it's suppose to work?? Also, I have a rear deck spoiler, but my center brake light is in the rear window. The pictires I've seen of 92's show a rear brake light inside the spoiler. What's up with that..????

You probably have aftermarket replicas tailights? Either that, or your car may have been involved in an accident that was previously unknown to you or the previous owner/s...and chances are, They replaced 'em with SC300 parts instead of the proper SC400 parts...because your suspicions are right, The 3rd brake light is suppose to be on the spoiler only (Especially for an SC400) and not inside the rear window...Only SC300's without spoilers ever get the 3rd brake light inside the rear window and/or spoilers w/o the LED 3rd brake light...So yeah, Hope that helps.
