and i was rev her to about 6000 than slap her in drive


Not to beat you up for it but you really can't do this to any car and expect the transmission to last long. the lexus sc is a refined luxury coup and you have to treat it as such. sure the engine is great but dropping it into drive at 6000rpm is downright abuse to the tranny.

I had a buddy who did that in high school to his car and I thought then that he was stupid for doing it just to burn rubber or speed off fast. of course it was his Aunt's car. she ended up having to replace the transmission on a new car a year later. we all make small mistakes when we are young, especially with our first cars but some stuff is really common sense. i am sure you have learned though. nothing like a lot of cash out of pocket to get your head straight.
