The carbon lip looks pretty good. But like others have said, you can only use a 97 and up lip on a 97 and up bumper unless you're up for doing some custom fab'ing on the pre 97 lip. They all look great so do what you like.

 

i was going to do the retro thing also.i got a lip from screw bay and to my suprise it did not fit.to make a long story short i kept it for 6 months before the guy got another buyer so i got all my money back.i have the guy number in TN i'll give him a call and find out what yr car he is putting it on.who knows maybe he will be looking for a buyer soon lol.

 

Yea!!! But i dont have the stock one i have no lip!!! Im looking but all i see is vertrex and is $400... I dont know if they make a replica or something chiper!!!! If not i just go with the velocity body kit soarer style is only $700 for the full kit and it looks good!!!!!!

 

I personally like the pre 97 lip, its clean and looks hawt!!

This has got to be the best lip for the 97+ bumper BUT its a super badass DiY so it means you gotta make it your self

Yea im still looking!!!! And money is not a problem or the body work i do my own body work. And yes that lip looks good 2!!!! This is my first sc300 so i really dont know much would like some help... I live the stock bumper i just need to look for a lip kit something clean!!!

 

Do you guys know of any material thats elastic like the oem lip? i have a lip planing on doin the 97 pre lip. Just dont want it cracking like bondo does.

 

So is there a company that makes a polyurethane copy of the 92-96 lip?

For example, the 06-07 Subura Sti's Limited, had a front lip, price from factory is $450-$550!!! Ebay: $60.

WHY can't a manufacturer make one for the 92-96 and 97+ for under $200 and have it be of reasonable quality?

I rally my wrx, never had the lip crack, tear, deform, etc....infact I bought two in anticipation that the first would break within a year...

I just don't see why this is such a difficult part for a company to make...
