I would just do what all the other 500,000,001 threads say. Try using some whitening toothpaste before buying anything and if no luck just get mcguire's plastic x.

use some rubbing compound and try and buff really hard, if you've got an electric buffer use that.

Most suggest Meguiars PlastX to clean them and rid them of the haze...I personally have had minimal luck with it, often having them rehaze after just a week or 2. What I have found to work best is Meguiars Mirror Glaze Platic Cleaner #17 followed by Mirror Glaze Plastic Polish #10. It's a 2 step process but keeps them clear for months instead of weeks.

This is how to fix it:

buy some 1,500 or 2,000 grit sandpaper...spray the headlight and the sandpaper with window cleaner....sand the headlights. get some cutter/rubbing compound. apply it to the headlights, then use a buffer to remove it, then use polish.

They'll look brand new.

Don't use a carnauba wax when covering them back up because it will attract junk. Pick up a sealant and once you polish them just cake on the layers.

I wet sanded with 1500 grit, followed by Meguiar's Medium Cut Cleaner, then Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish (Works GREAT), followed by Mother's California Gold wax in a can which is a cleaner.

But I now have new headlights, and I wax them every time I wash the car for extra prevention of yellowing. It takes five minutes to wax the lights and is worth it.

I use 2k grit and 3k grit sand paper. Or 1500, 2k, then 3k for the really weathered ones. I also use a professional wheel (buffer) for faster better results.

if it sounds too good to be true it is. just save the $ and embarrassment of being seen at a dodge dealership and go get the plastx

Just used plastx this past weekend on the inside and outside of the headlights. They look brand new now!!! Amazing stuff, i'm prbly going to sand the outsides with the glass cleaner this weekend and then use the plastx followed by wax for a more long term effect.
