Default sc400 worth it?

im looking to buy a sc400 and i was wondering is it worth it?

1993
car has 197,000 kms
all maintenence been done
he says its been garage kept but there is rust forming on 1 side on the wheel well.
AC needs to be recharged.
not a rebuilt.
passenger window cant go up by it self... needs drivers side control to birng it up.
no immobilizer(weird? or is it normal for 1993?)

he is the second owner.
exterior is say 7.5/10
int is 7.5/10
he said there is rust forming there because of a accident that happend in the past and he was hit at the drivers side rear fender.
he said the AC was freon so im not if it has been converted...
tune up was done.
Waterpump, serpentine belt, timing belt, some pulleys, spark plugs were changed, he has the receipt of the parts but not labour.
he said some gauge lights are not working(how much is it to fix?)
front right and rear driver side fender have been painted.

a few newb questions i would love to know so please dont bash me.... how much is it to supercharge this thing? what kind of gas do i use? how many kms am i execpted to be getting on a full tank. how is maintence for this car? any problems i should be looking for?

price was 3700 canadian.

thanks!

what you said about the ac doesnt make sense but it sounds like a normal price for a clean title and around 150k miles, make sure everything is sound with it though.

what he probably means is that it's still an R12 system, and hasn't been converted to R134

R12 is no longer legal for use in automobiles.

sounds a little bit pricey, esp if theres rust appearing. and the car has been in an accident. if you really are set on the car, id lowball him around 3K. theres tons of sc400's out there in good condition for great prices.

Yeah but not in the BC probably. Think they were rarer due to the exchange rate back then they were pretty pricey.

I'd be leary of the rust unless u can get a stellar deal. The more I read on this car from you the more skeptical I am, I would have to pass if it was me.

To answer your questions:
1. not sure of cost but there is a super charger for sale now for mid $3k on this forum (parts only)
2. It recommends Premium, 93+ octane
3. miles I am not sure mine is not regular driver so I dont calculate that; use the estimate mpg and calculate based on tank size
4. maintenance - not sure what you mean by "how" but most folks here do their own maintenance as most things are fairly easy and someone has done what you want to do at least once. car is 16 years old theres bound to be work needed but its usually from normal wear - mechanically speaking
5. there is a list of known issues in a sticky at the beginning of this forum by OLT. Read that for known issues

Considering its in BC, $3700 is a decent price for a car with under 200 000km, but really look into the rust, and where the car has been hit. The panel fit and paint finish is really nice on these cars, so bad repair work stands out.

Don't forget to look at Soarers for sale around your area, most I've seen in Canada have under 100 000km and a nice one can be picked up for under $8000.

were there different wheels from the first picture vs. the others?

R134a conversion from the current R12 system would do it. Got mine done for $225 with a recharge... R134a is much much cheaper per lb.

Surprised how clean it looks in the pics, too bad about the rust starting...

i think the alarm systems only came in 95+ SC
My '92 SC400 has the factory alarm.

I had the R134 conversion done for $50 by a friend (apparently the cost of new fittings to charge the system), It should run you less than $200.
