i bought a red 97 sc300 and i love the car but my g.f hit a parked car and broke my light and messed up my bumper... well shes my X now but i was taking a look at it and i was going to just change the headlight and do the rest later but it appears that the previous owner glued the bulbs into the light ...
what i was wondering is if anyone knew a simple way of getting the bulb out with out breaking it or if i had to get all new hid's where can i get them from and do they sell a set that fit into the sc300 headlight with out having to do a ghetto glue job like that

 

try to scrape off the adhesive

 

If its just the bulb, then I would break it, pull it out and buy a new one for $20. If your talking about the lens then you have to pop your headlight into the oven at 225 for 10 min, and then pull the housing apart. Hope that helped.

 

if the whole socket and everything is glued in there i can only think of acouple options...

1-try heating up the glue and if that doesnt work you could try laquer thinner or something like that...

2-cut the wires and buy a new socket and splice it in...or if you could find one at a junkyard that would be even better...

 

thanks guys ... i need the lens because thats actually shattered and im tryna salvage the bulb so ill attemp to melt the glue off before i do any cutting

 

it means some ******* named OLT will send you a message saying he thinks you did something wrong..
