I need some help fellow SC enthusiasts!
Okay, here is the story so please bear with me. I had my car professionally detailed. After the detailer did my engine bay, the car was revving erratically (between 1000 and 2000 rpm at idle and park) and when in drive, the car would accelerate on its own. So I then had the car sent next door to the repair shoppe with all expenses sent to the detailer. The repair shoppe replaced the idle control valve and had to re-flash the ECU b/c water caused it to short out. I then did a test drive and the car seemed fine and signed a release form saying that anymore repairs would have to come out of my pocket. Then right when I go back to the car and started it up (after signing the release) the same problem of revving happened again. I left it with the repair shoppe and they said they would try to get to the bottom of it. I know we have SC geniuses on here and if you all could give me suggestions of what is wrong, it would greatly be appreciated. If you spent time actually reading all of this, I applaud you, and you truly care about others problems! Thanks guys!

shouldve never signed that release form until u tested it out for a while, not just one quick thing.
as for the problem, try the vacuum lines. i had a similar problem on an 87 bmw 535i. it idled high, and it was the vacuum lines.

There are a bunch of cautions on pressure washing or cleaning an engine with water on here and things that usually happen are along the lines of spark plugs or the plug wires being wet and reqauiring air dry or in some instances the subsequent need to replace the plugs. But the symptons are different than you state the plugs would cause sputtering and erratic behavior not the idling issue I dont think.
I would check the intake area I believe actually thats is something very simple but the cost will be in finding what the problem is...
Good Luck!
