Its a sunroof "wind deflector". I think it is functional and cuts down on wind noise in the cabin while driving but thats my personal opinion of course.

I saw this on eBay for some ridiculous price. I dont like the design of that one as much as I do the standard without that dip in the center.

haha oh man, I thought it was for the rear window for some reason.

It reminded me of the JDM JZA80 rear window visor with the semi transparent plastic.

I think that piece is "Rare" only in the sense that not alot of people want that tacky looking thing on their car, But otherwise it's actually a very functional piece to have on your SCX00. By folding the middle flap down (see middle pic), you can actually divert air into your cabin when driving with the sunroof open, and at the same time saving yourself from more gas usage by not having to use your Air conditioner.

So if you really want it for your car, then go for it.

Here's some pics of the very same piece mounted on an SCX00 (mine's)

P.S It may look "totally 90's" but hey, Wasn't the SC/Soarer designed in the '90's?

Naw, Not that big...It covers more like 35% of the sunroof.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it makes the car look taller. The profile of the SC would look better if it were about 6 inches wider so that it could carry a lower and wider stance. But with the visor, it exaggerates the height even more and makes it looks less sporty.

Very true indeed, but you know what? you seldom ever see this part on SC's...So in essence, it's "Rare" LOL!

LOL, I do like the functionality of it though. I'd consider it, but my car has a roof spoiler and a 92-96 rear spoiler. If I were to add the visor, my car would start to look like a staircase with all the different levels going on.

If there's any OEM JDM Toyota sunroof visor I'd like to have, It would have to be the GS300/Aristo one, Since it has 2 wind flaps (1 of each for the driver and passenger) I believe, Carson Toyota may still be able to get one for you...I had almost purchased this one (pictured below) from them, Until I ran into an actual one for the Soarer on e-bay (Since I'm so adamant of sticking exclusively with SC/Soarer parts only).

I have this on my 94 GS and I love it. The flaps are very functionable.

didn't even know they had a JDM/OEM Soarer sunroof visor (interesting fact)...but I've always hated these things...but I guess if someone needs it for an actual use, like opening a window/sunroof without rain coming in, hey, go for it.

You GS/Aristo guys are so fortunate to have dual flaps, while us SC/Soarer guys only have a single one.
