Default Auto 1jz EMS?

Ive tried searching the forums but the only threads I were able to find were years old in which case im sure things have changed since then. I am mainly interested in the AEM EMS and I have plenty of resources to get it through I just dont know exactly which one I need and if anything special needs to be done since my car is on the stock auto trans. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated or if there are any other units that would work just as well or better please let me know. Thanks again

The only ems for auto 1jz is the power fc from apex and that was for the chaser. If the ecu plugs are the same it may work, but good luck finding an old discontinued item. I ended up with the M/T soarer power fc and bought a transmission controller.

there is a guy who makes unpinned harness' for aem ems to work with a 1j and i happen to have a diagram for a aem ems to work with a 1j in a soarer that we just did..... some things will be different for the sc400 obviously but they should be pretty similar

I figure based off the first response that I could run virtually any soarer ems but being an automatic I would need a tranny controller regardless. I guess im just trying to see what people are using and which way would be easiest but still end up with a good unit. Aem and Power fc are both great in my book so I just need some links or info as to what tranny controllers people are using and how

here is the link to the programmable transmission controller:
http://www.latentsolutions.com/suprastickuv.html

The best feature is the E-shift capability .
no matter what EMS you go with , if you keep the soarer A/T you will need this or else it will stay in 4th gear by default.

If I would do it again I thought I would have tried to use the MK4 TT A/T and the 2JZ AEM on the 1JZ. The Supra AEM can control the transmission.

So with the supra AEM I wouldnt have to get the tranny contoller I would just have to make a custom jumper harness of some sort right? Sorry I couldnt tell if you contradicted yourself or I misunderstood. If that is the case it seems like a reasonable option. Thanks for the input guys

with the supra AEM you must have the Supra A/T . Line pressure is electronic. 1jz A/T is cable
