Default Drivers side window switches stop'd working

Ok, so of course this happens when the window is down...driver's side switches will not raise driver window or lower/raise passenger window, however...

mirror adjustment works
window lock works
door lock works

and passenger side switch works fine (in passenger door). Don't think it's a fuse - shared with both doors? Master switch bad?

Any advice?

Thanks !

MAster switch is bad.

I had the same on my passenger side window switch. It wouldn't lower the window, but it could raise it, but on the driver side, it could do both. Sometimes the contacts could be dirty, or the switch could have went bad.

If you are up for it, take it apart and clean the contacts. If not, just buy a new switch from aliga for ~60.

Ok, so is there a writeup anywhere on how to clean the contacts in the archives by chance? I bet I could do it with some guidance but just in case...

Who is aliga?

Thanks !

its cake walk to do just time consuming chances are the switch is bad and best way to check that is to check that power is going to the switch
if so then it confirms from the switch to the window regulator

I dont think there is a writeup for cleaning the contacts. I would bet its pretty self explanatory: take the switch out of the door, disconnect any wires behind it, and find a way to take apart the switch assembly.

aliga is a guy that frequenty sells used SC parts from junkyards, etc.
