color does not go well with kit..more suitable for OEM 97+ body...just my .02..

Yeah, it was killing me too. I didn't do any research when I first got the car and I had a VIS kit before on my Corolla (Many years ago) and it looked good. So I bought the kit and then found out that the grill was in the wrong place. SC400Dude suggested to just delete the grill and I was, but I didn't do it after all.

That color is pretty hot, but the grill is killing it. Maybe if you source an authentic vertex bumper and 97 grill to complete the look...or even a 97 bumper w/ lip would match up pretty well w/ the VIS sides and rear. Great start though.

looks great only thing I dont like is the empty space in your front numper but I know you planning to fill that in with a big fmic =)
