i personally would buy one new, or buy a new reg, and swap regs, while keeping the motor.
i bought one from ali, and it broke about a month later, in the same fashion. Its a age-sensitive part. Depending on the year of the car it came out of will determine if its going to break on you a week later, or 10 years later.
I agree with Unreal, I went with new regulators from the dealership. They were $122 ea. at my local Lexus dealership. By the time you add shipping I figured it was close enough in cost for me to go the dealership route. There is an excellent DIY, just do a search.

Seems like they only want to sell the regulator/motor setup for over $500.
