Electrical Problem
Guys,
Trying to help a friend with a car problem she is having.
Apparently today her key fob for the factory car alarm stopped working. When she tried to use the power door locks, they seemed like they were barely getting any power. You can hear the actuators trying to do something, but they just seem really weak. Also, the dome light quit working when it is in the "door open" position but works fine when it is set to on. Again, this is something that just happened also.
But, when she is actually driving the car and tries to use the door lock buttons they work with no problem. Which led me to believe it was an alternator problem. Her battery is between 13-14v so it is good.
However, all her other lights/electrical features are working fine on the car, whether it is running or not... This makes me think it isn't the alternator.
Fuse is good, nothing recently been changed on the car...
