Default Suggestion on OEM Front Lip

Wanted to get some thoughts from folks on course of action and if it would work. Same old story hit a low curb with front lower lip. Turns out the lip was "patched" looks like use of some adhesive and bondo to "fix" it. Question is it worth repairing it as opposed to Ebaying it for a used one? In other words am i "putting lipstick on a pig" by "fixing" it and this will happen again whether I hit a curb or not due to where its located? If so on repair what type glue would be recommended to adhere the piece together? And would bondo be a good idea to try again to finish the look?

Also if I get a new or "nused" piece will my old hardware be reusable? It looks pretty mangled.

Thanks in advance
