Default wood grain smear?

Hello Great job on the cleaning. Its always a great feeling to avoid a car payment... I have been wondering what the proper surface treatment would be for the vinyl top of the dashboard, immediately under the windshield. I always just use Armor all but would like to know if its my best bet for keeping it protected from the sun. My 99 SC400 was garaged kept by the previous owner and now I torture it by leaving it outside most of the time... I am also wondering if anyone has ever had what looks like a smear in the wood grained trim over the glove compartment? I am afraid to rub it out in case it goes all the way in. I'll try to post a pic but it may be hard to see.

Also, any ideas on how to touch up the black leather seats? Mine seems to have some fading where my lazy butt slides in and out. Thanks all.

Thanks guys... it was a ridiculous amount of work. At points, I honestly though I was making a mistake; however, now that it is done - it was worth it. Feels like a whole new car.

I cant wait till I do the engine, light suspension, and light exterior things...

Its not the cleaning of the engine that I will be doing, but rather a full tune-up. See my last post with a picture on the fist page.

nice job, I need to do this one day (not during this summer, too hot!)

Kind of OT - is your fuel tank repositioned? On my SC300 the fuel pump thingy is on the top.

Including all of the OEM gaskets, fluids, bushings, driver seat ($180), new subwoofer box ($75) and other stuff, I would say between $500-$600. Not too bad for a full interior and engine tune up.

Its not repositioned; however, the metal plate that is normally behind the seats and in front of the tank is not there. This was taken out years ago because it will make your sub woofer in the trunk sounds way better. You can read about it in my ultra noobish post from some time ago here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lexus-audio-video-security-and-electronics/58464-how-to-make-your-system-bump.html

Starting the engine Tune-up tonight (3-4 hours from now). I will update and add many pics as I go.

Doing this:
"Valve cover gaskets, Throttle body gasket / cleaner, MAF gasket / cleaner, Serp belt, Cam seals, Radiator hoses, NGK Iridium plugs, Plug wires, Distributor O-Ring, timing cover gaskets, Power steering gaskets, oil plug/gasket, pcv valve oil filter, K&N air filter clean kit, fuel filter, All Synthetic fluids: oil, trans, brake, p/s, differential, injector cleaner, gas treatment, plastix headlight stuff, working trunk struts, misc nuts and bolts I was missing, Daizen sway bar bushings... and more"

Can't wait for my 2008 SC300 lol
