New SC300
Hello all, I just bought an '95 SC300 and wanted to say hi to everyone here! I had been shopping around for a replacement for the old Lesabre for 7 months, and test driving everything from stangs and trans-ams to preludes and 3000gts. All of which were fun, but when I started reading about the SC I knew that it was the perfect combination of class, power, and potential.
Anywho I test drove several and finally settled on the 5-speed. She's pretty much bone stock, but I'm looking into doing the BFI intake myself, and I've seen a bunch of how-tos around. Anyone know how this compares to an pod filter? I've read that K&N pod filters can result in gains of 8hp or so. Thanks!

thanks for the well-wishing and whatnot, I picked the car up off of a Honda lot, some older gent had traded it in for an s2000 after buying it in '98, and before that it was a one owner in texas. No accident history, and I couldn't find anything that looked like a repair had been made, although it does have 114,000 miles. I'm still sorting through all of the maintenance receipts, it came with a pile!
