Why don't you just buy a new filter for the intake that will satisfy your likes and call it a day?

i think you need to have a problem before you can have a solution.

solution is to cut a big whole infront of the intake box drop in a filter and call it a day.
or just get a cone air filter that bolts onto the MAF.

why don't you buy an expensive filter, a apexi, greddy, hks, blitz whichever would probably make it look a little nicer at a show

powder coat it to the color of your car or anything else you have painted and I'm sure it will look better then what you have.
