if people ask just tell them you have air ride

 

I have the NF210's that I installed along with brand new shocks at the same time and I have a similar problem, but it's my passenger rear that sits slightly higher than the drivers rear, which sits nice and flush. But the front passenger side is fine, maybe just slightly higher than the drivers side, but not enough to be noticeable. I figure you either just live with it or go with coilovers so you can keep the same height on all 4 corners.

 

when you guys put the springs back, did u place the end of the coil where the end of the stock coil was sitting , it will have a little indent on the rubber part of the mount, just an idea it might make a difference. i just finished installing the tein ss on my sc3 and i made sure i did that on all 4 cause i didnt replace them with the pillow ball mount.

 

I have Tanabe NF's and my car sits evenly at all four corners. I changed my shocks at the same time of the spring install with tokico blues. When you installed your springs did you check the shock rebound at all or did you notice any fluid leaking on your shocks? Also what generation tanbae NF's do you have. The old school one's are blue, the new gen NF's are RED.

 

^ I installed a set of Tokico Blues and a set of Tanabe NF210 (reds) on my 98 SC400 and had no problems. Only thing I noticed is the rear sits about 1/2" lower then the front. But that is normal seeings how the wheel wells are different sizes front to back. Driver-passenger side sit the same height. Did you remove the upper control arm when you did the drop? If you did that might be your problem.

I also think Tanabe might of changed the NF210 springs to help compensate for the wheel well differences. Front to back wheel gap is noticeable smaller. Its a nice product, they even had the rubber cushions installed on the springs right out of the box. If you are thinking about going the Tanabe route get them while they are lower in price. They are about to go up in price next month.

 

I also have the Tanabe NF's and it looks fine to me. I noticed the front is a bit higher but only noticeable when staring at it for a while. I also put in new KYB GR2 shocks so I'm pretty happy with the result. But I'm only about 50 miles on both the shocks and springs, so it's still pretty early.

 

I have reds and yes I aligned the rubber.. I don't know

 

After doing a search and reading up on a couple threads, it is normal for the passenger side to be slightly higher than the drivers side on any lowering springs. Only coilovers would resolve the issue as all Lexus are designed this way.

If the difference in the heights are drastically different, you might want to check the endlinks on your sway bar, if it's installed the wrong way, it will cause problems with the height as it won't let the suspension settle fully.

 

Oh, and mine were checked and double checked by different mechanics. Alignment was done and they all say everything is installed correctly and aligned properly.
