Thanks for pic's!

The "frame" is Electrical Tape around the edges...haha I put a strip of double sided foam tape on both the Top and Bottom of the plate, where it makes contact with the body. That way it doesn't scratch up the plate, to be honest the tape holds it to the car the zip ties are just safety precautions.

I used one of those universal "jdm" brackets. I drilled 2 holes underneath the bottom grill which is not visible. In the future, I want to trim the license plate smaller so it doesn't scratch any of my front bumper.

You can see a little bit of the bracket here. Sorry I don't have better pics. I covered the ends of the top screws with a little rubber padding. It protects the bumper in case the plate makes contact during my 100+ mph runs.

i have mine ziptied too. used a license plate bracket from one of those kits at Autozone, and ziptied it to the bumper. I did not have the heart to drill into my baby. My dad on the other hand, had the drill charged and ready LOL

I just got the plate on. I bought those ties from home depot for just $3 and wrapped some plastic wrap around the plate to protect the bumper's paint. This is a MUCH better alternative to paying a dealer $50+ and drilling perminent holes into the bumper. Here's some pics:

It may not look like its on that securely, but it actually is. The ties are tightend to their max. I don't think it looks that bad. Since it sits under the bumper's outermost point, the car's face doesn't get too interrupted or distracted.

Its certainly not as secure as it would be if I bolted it on, but the only way it could flap up is if wind gets trapped underneath and lifts. I'm no aerodynamiscst, but I assume the air will just hit the plate head on and keep it firmly secured to the bumper. The ties will protect it from lateral movement. Like I said, it looks a lot less secure than it actually is. It's pretty hard for me to flip it up.

I'll do some tests on the highways tomorrow to see how well it holds up, but I don't think it should be a problem.
