It's almost kit time. Question on conversion
I just had one last question on kits for the 92-96 sc:
Overall; are kits going to require 97+ upgrades such as fogs, etc? How do you know which kits will need conversion and which will not?
I am not even close to deciding which kit I want to go with and details like this might help decide.
Thanks

I'm asking what kits work with pre-97 parts. I have a 94 and want to keep in consideration whether kits will require 97+ conversion parts or not. I know a lot require 97+ fogs for example.
Is the front grill an indicator? That's just my hunch.
Thanks Jonny
If a kit is for a 97+ what requirements are needed for a pre-97 sc?
I am coming up with:
grill insert, foglights, headlights, hi beams, and tails
- does that cover everything? Am I listing some parts I would not need to convert? Would some parts depend on the kit in question or do all 97+ kits need these components converted?
I just want to calculate costs before I make my decision.
Thanks

There are different options to go for.
If you want to keep the factory fog lights from your car you can fit various lip kits (Vertex, Wise Sports, Evolution Signature etc.), if you're after a full replacement there is the WALD front bar (designed to fit the factory pre-97 fog lights with 97+ grille) etc.
As for me I'm hoping to get the AC kit during the year (yes, many AC kits in the US but rare as rocking horse poo here in Oz).

Generally you would need the grill insert and foglights.
Remember though, with any upgrade of the body there are additional costs incurred - mounting hardware, pigtail harnesses etc.
Good luck with whatever you decide. Regards,
Jonny
