Backlighting on Cluster
Does anyone know what area behind the cluster actually provides the current to the backlight bulbs after all plugs are plugged in?
I know there are several electrical components back there that drive electrical currents here and there, but which one or which ones would I want to look closer at and wiggle and probe at to see if it might kick up the backlighting?
Now I know that at first glance replacing the bulbs might be the first suggestion to follow through with, but putting that aside, what area controls or drives the electrical current to the backlight?
Though I have already tried it, giving it a whack here and there isnt doing anything, so I wanted to better concentrate and give attention to a specific area and see how that all goes.Any help and/or suggestions would definitely be very welcomed.
Thanks to all in advance for you help on this.
By the way, here is my cluster's current condition...

Almost there, just a couple more lights to get going on.
Oh... and this is what my old one used to look like...
PS- Smacking the cluster is not going to replace 14 years of wear on the filament. If they don't fire without being beaten, the clue phone is ringing.
Not only are the clusters detailed and labeled, we stuck it to the top of the forum.
KrazeMatik... if I am not mistaken, if youre looking only for the temp, tach, speedometer, and gas... I counted eight. Also they seem to be larger in bulb size than per say those for the indicator lights (ABS, TRAC, CRUISE, Check Engine, etc.).
However, as for the bulb size #, I too would like to know so I could order at dealer or Ebay.
