I'm prepping the car for TX2K8 and had to remove the exhaust. Here's a somewhat crappy pic of the 3" exhaust split to two 2.25" mandrel bent pipes. The mufflers are Magnaflow straight through, double offset, with OEM tips welded on. The mufflers have a narrower profile than OEM and look much better, IMO. Obviously, cats and resonators have been removed. The sound is agressively quiet.

I pushed nearly 700hp at just 27lbs of boost on a T71GTQ turbo. With a T74, I'm hoping to get it to the 800 mark at 2K8.

I guess my point is that you don't necessarily have to give up curb appeal for power.

Are you running a GE or GTE?

I am hoping to get down to this meet - hopefully I will be up and running by then

I only run GE motors (complete long block with aftermarket cams). However, I am installing a built bottom end for 2K8.

Yes... I'm running Pilot PS2's on TT rims with Lexus center caps that have been refurbished through Wheels America, and the car is lowered with Eibach springs. Interior is completely stock including the 5-speed shifter **** on the 6-speed tranny. I don't run any gauges except for the Gauge-Tech display for the AEM that is easily hidden away. Any problems with fuel or timing are reported on the check engine light using the AEM.

The only thing that gives it away is the Greddy 4-row intercooler.

What head work do you have done aside from the cams?

I really want to make it to Texas but I can't take off work for Thursday/Friday, and I'm not sure if I want to drive 12 hours both ways just to be there for Saturday and Sunday.

272s... that's it. However, I am installing Crower springs/retainers and shimless buckets. With a built motor, I want to spin the motor a little higher without fear of floating a valve or spitting out a shim.

That doesnt look like mandrel bent to me?? Look at not the first but second bend before the mufflers, looks like press bent. Im planning on doing a similar setup though, 4" to two 3" to a pair of magnaflows. Although I will have a pair of resonators....

^ I agree. Looks press bent to me in that area as well.
Either way, I wonder how much you would gain if you went with a more free flowing exhaust.
