'97 SC300 Wheel Purchase - Classic Green w/ Gold Emblems
I planned on suffering with the BBS/Moda 5 spoke wheels that came with my car until I got some other upgrades done and could save up to purchase some proper, somewhat pricey wheels.
However, one of the Modas is bent to the point that I don't feel comfortable/safe driving the car. Therefore, I must escalate the wheel-buying process and purchase something considerably less expensive.
The Discount Tire rep recommended a few wheels (I think based on what he has in stock):
I'm targeting the following fitments:
front: rim size 18x8; offset +38; tire size 245/40/18; no fender modifications
rear: rim size 18x9; offset +38; tire size 265/35/18; no fender modifications
What I really need from my CL and SC bros is opinions on the wheel choices above, preferred alternatives and recommendations. The sooner I get something, the quicker I'm back in my SC driving!

- I perused the enormously helpful SC Tire & Wheel guide.
- I began shopping for wheels online, in the CL classifieds and with a friendly, local Discount Tire rep.
- Purchase some OEM Lexus rims (e.g. ISx50 rims)
- Purchase slightly inexpensive aftermarket rims (with a potential eye towards replacing them in a few years once all my other upgrades/mods are done; unless I really like them and decide to keep them)

- MB Motoring "Drifter":
- Vox "Monxa":
- 3. Hotwheels "Redline":

And I do have the tan interior...
edit: You're referring to the gold Sportmax 5-spoke, like the 562?

Thanks for the responses folks. The Sport Max 962s seem to be an awesome recommendation. It's amazing...the freaking tires for this car cost more than those rims. I don't think there's any getting wheels and tires for this car for less than $1500.
At least the 962s are nice enough that I can deal with them for QUITE a WHILE! I was really inspired by this picture in a RedPhoenix thread:
