Good job.
i'll take some tonight. There's still a few pics I have to upload from Ian's camera. I also have some pics of the speed sensor bracket I made, the reverse light wiring, shifter extension, a few pics comparing the w58 and r154 tranny, along with some other misc pics during installation.

Overall, a pretty straight forward swap. Nothing too difficult.

OOO OOO I WANT TO TRY THIS ONE!!!

Ok, if you have the R154 and 1j bellhousing, you still need:

7m clutch
1j flywheel

if its an auto you also need:

W58 trans mount
clutch assymbley from either sc300 5 spd or MK3
clutch master and slave cyclinder for R154
clutch line
front halfshaft from R154
You will also need the bolts from the W58 or R154 bellhousing(the autos are too long)
A 5 spd center console from an SC300 would make it all fit nice inside.

The biggest part of all of this is needing to extend the shifter, or the shifter housing. There are alot of discussions and write ups on this, so just take your pic of how to make it fit. On top of this, you will need to wire up the reverse lights and bypass the safety switch.

DID I GET IT RIGHT?

Jon

You don't need the r154 master cylinder, the w58 will do. just make a stainless steel clutch line from master to r154 slave.

I'll try to post them up soon on our website. We are trying to tune at high boost as we are taking some customer cars to the track this weekend but having trouble getting enough fuel. We'll see what happens.

break it in, and turn up the boost: let that 67mm breathe. I am curious to see what your set up can do.

while you're at it, take some pictures of that shifter extension. you are pioneering a simple alternative to seeking down a Soarer R154. The community needs to see just what is necessary to make this mod happen.

all in all, great work. you have to be thrilled to be able to maximize your set up now that you have a trans that can take a pounding. good luck.

What was your final verdict on the extension. Did you go with 3"? I did mine with 2.5 and I have not dropped it into the car so I do not know if I have to extend or if it is ok.

no definately not long enough. Looks like you just have the stock mk3 shifter with no mods to it what so ever. Needa extend that to make it fit the sc300
