Default 92 sc300, 5spd

Hey guys I am interested in buying a 92 sc300 5speed with 118,000 miles,
The dealer is asking for 8500

I was hoping i could get your guys opinion on what a good price for it is.

My mechanic checked it out and said it has a new water pump and belt. He said it needs new tires and I think the trunk shocks are blown.

Other than that the interior is super clean and with the exception of a few small imperfections on the paint the exterior is pretty sweet too.
Please help me guys I am really lookin forward to buying an SC

It sounds nice, the trunk shocks tend to go out on the SC often. That is one of the typical problems found in our cars. I paid about the same price for the same car. I'd check out the classifieds on here to see if there is anything else you might like, there are generally some nice cars on there

read through this site before you buy any car: http://usedcartips.org/fairprice.html

i recently bought my 92 5speed for $3500 from a private seller, it has 142000 miles and it sounds like the one you are looking at is in better condition. im also located in a different region.

cool thanks guys. i was also wondering what you guys think the chances are of finding a 5spd with lower miles if i wait. Because I kind of want to wait but am afraid that I won't find another 5spd with lower miles

that price is way too high. i bought my 93 sc300 5sp that was in descent shape. it needed timing belt and water pump done as well as trunk shocks. i bought the car for 5000. i spend another 1000 and got a timing belt, water pump, tokico shocks/eibach springs, JIC bucket seat, new wheels and tires, and trunk shocks. my car had 115K when i bought it. i also just acquired an LS400 BBK.

actually to be honest i never wanted an sc. i wanted a 240. then i bought one but made it into a project and again needed a daily driver. i only bought it because it was 5sp. i would never own an auto anything. i kinda like my car now

mileage is not that big of an issue. the 2jz will last forever and interior car be replaced.

Also, if your willing to spend $8500, you should check the classifieds here. You will find great SC's there.

That is a rip off if you ask me. I paid 7200 for a 92 sc with a 1jz, 97 conversion, new interior, rims, and teins. Just look in the classified section.
