the brake bias has nothing to do with the emergency brake in our cars. the hand brake has separate brake shoes that are operated like drum brakes. if you upgrade anything in the braking system and use the hand break you will not notice any difference at all. the only way to alter the hand brake operation is to change the hand brake shoes.

on the other hand of you do supra tt or ls400 front brake upgrade without touching the rears you bias will be way off. you will be able to lock up the front like nothing while the rears will keep spinning. if you track your car....not dragging, this is very bad news for cars dynamics and overall performance balance.

I know that, I was just trying to give him an idea of what will happen.
Rear brakes being too powerful = rear wheels locking up. Yanking e brake = rear wheels locking up delivers the same point...

Quote: Jonny...

I sold new front TT rotors for $85 shipped on the classifieds and put $50 in my pocket.

In short, the TT rotos will not work with the LS400 brake calipers without gratuitous custom work. The extra 0.15" of rotor on each side of the center of rotation is sufficient to cause clearance issues.

has this been tested or is this just a "it probably wont fit" scenario?

its hard to find good quality rotors for the LS

Has anyone done a LS400 front caliper installed on the rears of SC?

Maybe a custom bracket? That will look so cool if it's possible.
you wouldnt be able to find a rotor that will fit over the drum brake section of the rear and also be big enough for the LS calipers

Tirerack sells quality rotors for cheap prices..Check them out first before anything..

They sell Brembo blanks for under $70..

I wouldn't recommend mismatching rotor and caliper, you're really taking a huge risk...Especially when you put two components together that aren't suppose to work together in the first place...Don't cheap out on brake components, they're just as important as your engine...

brakes are more important, in my opinion. i can stop with a dead engine and good brakes...but with a good engine and no brakes? uh oh.
