first mod is a set of supra seats that still need some leather, so they just sittin in my attic back at home. I needed the seats just because i am quite tall and i need the head room. But for a first performance mod, i say get the suspension and brakes in good condition so u can handle all the power mods to come after that. i take it that the car is at least 100k in milage, so the suspension might need some work anyways. My verdict is to get all the power later (1JZ, 2JZ-GTE, NA-T, etc.) and work on the suspension now.

i would do a 1jz swap if budget allows. better mpg and still fun to drive. but if you are going for big power, then a 2jz swap indeed.

I want to NA-T, I think. Goals to make 300-310WHP.

I know some people would disagree with me, but the 2j is not an interfearance motor. So if it does break it wouldn't hurt anything. I'd let that go to after giving it a good visual inspection for cracks or damage.

As long as the compression is good 100k is nothing for these motors. NA-T all the way!

310 is a reasonable number and could be reached very easily.
