alternator problem? help please
well i got a 92 SC300 n jus bought a new batt and after i installed it the next day i couldnt start the car i had to jump it so i checkd the fuses n found out tat the alt fuse is 150A instead of 120A like it say on the fuse box cover could that be a problem or is it ok if not the autozone guy say i hav to replace my alternator. and i duno where to buy the 120a fuse and if i do ahve to replace the alt where can i get a good one for cheap? =[
just go to autozone or kragen.. get a new alternator for 100 bucks or so..
if ur car was FINE.. but for some odd reason it decides to crap out on u..
then it CANT be that fuse... (cuase its not blown)
soo replace the alternator.. thats what i did :] saved me!

Well I got a 92 SC300 and just bought a new battery for it. The following day i couldnt get the car to start, so I had ended up having to jump it. I checked the fuses and found out that the alternator fuse presently in the car is 150A instead of 120A like it says on the fuse box cover. Could that be my problem or is it ok to have the 150A in there? The guy I spoke with at Autozone said that I have to replace my alternator.
I don't know where to buy the 120a fuse - does anyone know? Also, if I do have to replace the alternator, does anyone have any suggestions where I might be able to get a good one for cheap? =[
