Hello guys, having an issue with my alternator..i think. The car started to do some weird electrical stuff a few days ago (transmission, radio,etc). I checked the battery and it was fine. I researched the problem on the forums and the symptoms directed me to take a look at the alternator. I took the alternator into the shop and they confirmed it had issues (OEM alt). They fixed etc...

I installed the alternator the same way I took it out, charged the battery. As I put the negative terminal on, it started to make a fizzing sound (hard to describe), and book went the alt fuse.

I need to go buy another fuse, but am wondering what caused the fuse to blow, so it does not keep happening?

Probably a short who knows could be somewhere in the windings or...god knows man, try one more fuse if everything is connected as it should be and your positive on that, take it back tell them there's prob a short somewhere keeps popping the fuse
