I've had one.
And I'm 27.
70 in a 55.
I then got smart and bought my first radar detector and started paying more attention to unmarked cop cars. Now, I can spot them a mile away and slow down before I get clocked.
Do yourself a favor and look into what kind of vehicles that your state police use, especially unmarked cars. Also, buy a Valentine V1 or Escort 8500. Make sure whatever you get is capable of handling PoP mode radar and is undetectable by police radar detector scanning systems (detector detector).
I get clocked in my SC more than any other car that I have ever owned. I once had a bright red car and rarely got followed or clocked.
Make sure the state you live in doesn't ban radar detectors. As far as I know Virignia is the only state that does so.
