Default Boost and vac lines question ??

Guys,

I have boosted my SC400 via a vortech v9. In case you've missed it, go to the link in my sig.

My question for all of you guys with boost is - How the heck do you keep the vac lines from leaking and/or coming off.

I have replaced 99% of the lines under the hood plus secured all the connections with tie-wraps. A couple of days ago, I leak tested and had no leaks. Since then I've noticed a decline in the amount of boost I'm getting, I re leak tested and I have like 5 or 6 new leaks. A couple of them are pretty significant.

Are there some small clamps I can get somewhere?

Should I use sealer?

Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help.

KC

I usually like to get hoses that fit real snug, id go smaller size vac hoses, or try putting small thin zip ties and see if that holds. But from my personal experience, the smaller sized silcone hoses held much better and never leaked. Hope this helps

Ya, that's one thing I tried to do when I replaced everything, use smaller sized id hoses. I am going to run to PepBoys later and get some smaller ones I guess and try that.

Most of the lines I'm having trouble with are the smaller ones, like the VSV lines. It would be nice to find some small clamps that would work, I'll have to look for some.

Thanks for the input BTW.

zipties work ok, i use vacuum hose pinch clamps, they have ones that are reusable and they have ones that you crimp with a tool. i've been looking online for them but i can't find them anywhere, i know my parts department has them for sale, maybe you could check at a dealership parts dept, they are pretty cheap.
