I have a 93 SC400. When I lock it with the remote (on the key) the only thing I hear is the muted clunk of the door locks locking or unlocking. I have not heard of or read about a tone, honk, beep or chirp. Is there supposed to be one?

I suspect that the remote lock system has been modified as later on the SC400 had a fob for the remote. Mine is in head of the key itself.

is it hard to install aftermarket, keyless entry/keyless trunk opener, but no security system.
iF i install aftermarket keyless entry, is it gonna mess up stock security system?

I can't insert the key into driver's side(I can if I put more force on it) so now I open the door from passenger side...
it's so pain!
