Default Leather Seats Revisited

Did anyone ever find reasonable pricing on replacements?? My drivers seat is in desperate shape for replacement. Quoted 900.00 for just the drivers side, that's rediculous. Anyone have there's redone??

There were a pair of nice ones on ebay a few weeks back. Also BANKER is parting out his SC so he may have a pair of seats available.

A CL member Whitman got the leatherseats.com replacement leather and I got mine redone in vinyl for a fraction of the price...

Go to pages 6, 7 and 8 for pics... There is a lot of info if you take the time to read the entire thread... It's worth it...

Hey Shane,

Please inquire about new leather seat covers on our site. Hopefully we can help you out. I'm sure I can try to get a better price than 900.00. Email me

Thumbs up Leather seat replacement

To add my 2 cents (after all I replaced my seats with the "OEM Replacement" covers from Leatherseats.com):

I am very happy I replaced my seats. It was time consuming, but for the most part the procedure is very straightforward.

The leather they send you is of excellent quality and if you do it right, it will look and feel like factory leather.

That being said, there certainly are other solutions. And ways to get what you want for less money.

For me, I wanted a complete leather replacement, primarily because the armrest between the seats looked VERY BAD and my front seats were cracking. Further, I do not plan on selling this car. This is my baby and now I have new leather seats on my 1993 SC400!!!

Leather seats.com has on their web site a group buy option. We need to get a group of 5 of us to make the group buy.

I'm #1 , anyone else?

www.leatherseats.com

Check it out, with the discount- its like 600 and some change; but under $700 if memory serves me right for front and rear seats only (c-console extra). Though they did not list the SC as a product, I do know whitmanpc1 has bought from them and approves of the quality.

I'm really interested, do I have 4 other takers?

Let me know.

Keith

For a custom real leather set this is a great offer...

***I have the "leatherette" errrrrrr vinyl seat material and the seat is very nice! Just not leather.. BUT it cost a fraction of the cost of leather... Looks just as good and it is easier to clean...

***How much for the armrest cover alone? I amy have a person willing to make them depending on the price...
